We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support a fast-paced dietary and natural supplement manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production and packaging equipment used for capsules, tablets, powders, and finished supplement products. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and understands the importance of GMP, safety, quality, and sanitation requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and repair capsule-filling machines, tablet presses, tablet coaters, mixers, blenders, conveyors, bottling lines, labelers, shrink-wrap equipment, and other production machinery. Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and basic PLC/control issues. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records. Assist with equipment installation, setup, changeovers, modifications, and upgrades. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and company safety requirements. Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities meet quality and compliance standards for dietary supplement manufacturing. Maintain tools, spare parts, maintenance areas, and equipment in an organized and safe condition. Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability, productivity, and safety. Assist with facility maintenance, including HVAC, compressed-air systems, utilities, plumbing, and basic building repairs as needed. Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school, vocational training, or associate degree preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, or related regulated environments. Experience with tablet presses, capsule fillers, bottling, packaging, or similar production equipment strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, motors, belts, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and work orders. Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting is preferred. Understanding of

requirements, sanitation practices, and documentation in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, climb, and work around production equipment for extended periods.

Pay:

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
