Job Description

About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a growing food manufacturing operation. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on troubleshooter with experience working in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or similar industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production, packaging, refrigeration, cooking, and facility equipment. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production support requests. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues. Replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical components. Maintain maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs. Assist with new equipment installation, setup, and improvement projects. Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to minimize downtime. Maintain a safe work environment and follow lockout/tagout procedures. Support general facility maintenance as needed. Qualifications Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing, food processing, packaging, commercial kitchens, or similar environments. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Welding, fabrication, HVAC, refrigeration, or PLC experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs.
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday | Primarily 2:00 PM-11:00
PM Compensation:
$30-$40 per hour, depending on experience
