Our client, a dairy and cheese manufacturing company in Perth Amboy, NJ, is looking for a maintenance mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repair on Manufacturing and Packaging line equipment. Bilingual Spanish required. $35-38/hour, commensurate with experience Shift time 10p-7a Sunday-Thursday, with the expectation that you will work most Fridays at time and a half rate (potential 48 hour work week).

Job Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair all electronic and automation equipment, sensors, cylinders, motors, conveyer belts, HVAC, plumbing, in a production environment that includes a cold/refrigerated area. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies. Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. Maintains time and production records

Qualifications:

Bilingual Spanish required At least 3 years experience as a maintenance mechanic in the manufacturing/production industry Understanding of GMP's, Lock Out Tag Out, OSHA regulations, blueprints and specification documents Electrical repair and preventative maintenance experience crucial Experience with PLC systems, robotics, Operator Interface Terminal (Panel view), pneumatics, sensors and cylinders highly desired Previous experience with dairy and cheese manufacturing equipment highly desired
