POSITION SUMMARY

1st Shift Wed-Sun. Starting pay is $19.86/hr A Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic installs, repairs, and maintains production machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

(essential functions of the job) Primary duties can include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, replacing defective parts, repairing equipment, documenting work, and adhering strictly to safety regulations like LOTO ( Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. ) Additional Responsibilities include :

• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Cleaning, lubricating, and servicing machinery regularly to prevent failures.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

Diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems using tools and diagnostic equipment.

Equipment Installation:

Assembling, installing, and testing new or existing machinery.

•

Part Replacement & Repair:

Dismantling equipment, replacing worn components, and fabricating parts when necessary.

•

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, LOTO) and keeping the work area clean.

•

Documentation:

Recording maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or on work orders.

•

Collaboration:

Working with production operators to identify issues and with engineering for machine improvements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

:

Minimum Required Qualifications :

A high school diploma or equivalent Forklift Certification Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detailed oriented and can multi-task Excellent time management skills Self-initiates all mandatory Safety requirements of the task; LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, etc.

Required Skills :

Strong mechanical aptitude Problem-solving abilities Understanding of electrical and PLC systems Blueprint and technical manual reading Additional Preferred Qualifications Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus Ability to direct, coach, and train others Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting.

FREQUENT

Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL

Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

VISION:

Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

HEARING:

Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
