This position primarily supports after-hours and weekend work , as floor services are often performed outside of regular business hours to minimize disruption to client operations. Flexibility and availability during evenings and weekends are essential. When floor care work is limited, additional hours may be supplemented through general custodial assignments , based on operational needs and employee availability. This provides greater consistency in scheduling and offers opportunities for cross-training within our custodial operations.

Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. This role focuses exclusively on maintaining and restoring floors to a clean, polished, and safe condition. Unlike general janitorial positions, this role specializes in floor-specific work and requires experience with professional floor care equipment and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform floor maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and scrubbing. Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers. Apply floor finishes, sealers, and cleaners according to safety and manufacturer guidelines. Identify and treat floor stains or damage to extend flooring lifespan. Ensure all work areas are safe, cordoned off, and compliant with safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized equipment storage area.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in floor care or commercial cleaning required. Ability to operate and troubleshoot floor maintenance machines. Knowledge of different floor types (tile, VCT, concrete, carpet, etc.) and appropriate care methods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
