Job Description

This position is generally responsible for the assembly and maintenance of machinery in a manufacturing setting. The individual may also be called upon to dissemble machines scheduled for replacement or that must be moved to a new location. The responsibility is to provide support to various positions within the mill. The primary support areas include but are not limited to the Maintenance Department. Operate all designated equipment in a safe and productive manner. Troubleshoot and repair general pumps, valves, and rigging. Install new equipment and/or modifications of existing equipment. Repair mobile equipment; lift truck bobcats, etc. Service conveyor systems. Dissemble machines scheduled for replacement or that must be moved to another area. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment Perform basic welding repairs would be plus. Keep accurate records of work performed and all material used. Remove, repair, and install instruments, DCS components, and related equipment. Identify patterns of failures and ways to design out failures. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment components. Prioritize work orders and emergency repairs based on equipment. Takes initiative, self-starter Ability to read and use prints and schematics for troubleshooting of equipment and processes. Ability to cross train for other skills within the Maintenance Department. Able to operate mobile equipment such as lift trucks, scissor lifts and bobcats. Able to use variable testing equipment for troubleshooting. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics systems. Knowledge and basic maintenance of pumps, valves and hydraulic systems Education Requiremetns High School Diploma 1-2 years of experience and/or educational certification in industrial mechanics Preferred Qualifictions 3+ years Maintenance/Industrial Mechanic
