Job Description
Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician | Sloan, NV Nexeo Staffing is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support a growing manufacturing operation in South Las Vegas near Sloan. This hands-on position focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and maintaining automated production machinery and facility equipment. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical and mechanical skills, including experience with 480V electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and preventive maintenance. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting. Commission, install, calibrate, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment. Maintain machinery such as metal rollers, drill stations, bending machines, cranes, air compressors, and forklifts. Diagnose and repair motors, electrical drives, bearings, shafts, chains, sprockets, sensors, and switches. Troubleshoot 120V and 480V electrical circuits, low-voltage instruments, and control systems. Diagnose issues involving PLCs, automation equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, technical reports, and CAD drawings. Develop corrective actions to improve equipment reliability, production efficiency, and product quality. Perform MIG welding and basic metal fabrication as needed. Document maintenance and repair activities in computerized maintenance management systems. Follow all established safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Support basic facility maintenance and janitorial duties inside and outside the facility as needed. Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional operational duties. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or electro-mechanical experience. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment and electrical systems up to 480V. Ability to read schematics, diagrams, technical reports, and CAD drawings. PLC, automation, and control system experience preferred. Technical education or training in electro-mechanical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred. Mechatronics, metal manufacturing, or metal transformation experience is a plus. MIG welding and basic fabrication experience preferred. Experience maintaining CAT equipment is a plus. Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a production team. Comfortable performing hands-on electrical and mechanical work. Able to work extended shifts and overtime when required. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Able to safely perform indoor and outdoor facility maintenance duties. Dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.
