Job Overview $20/hour to start | Flexible, project-based schedule We're looking for a handy, reliable and self-motivated person to help us tackle ongoing projects, repairs and upkeep for our two businesses. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, fixing things, putting things together and knocking out a project list without needing a lot of supervision.

WHAT YOU'LL HELP WITH

Our needs change week to week, but projects may include: Sanding, painting, staining and refinishing furniture Touching up and maintaining rental inventory Fixing broken chairs, tables, furniture and décor Minor furniture and upholstery repairs Keeping rental pieces clean, fresh and event-ready Assembling new furniture and inventory Picking up new inventory, supplies and materials Installing shelving, hardware, fixtures and new pieces Building or helping with simple new rental pieces Light carpentry and woodworking Organizing and maintaining our warehouse Cleaning and basic upkeep of our box truck Painting, repairs and general maintenance at our venue Hanging and installing items Seasonal projects and improvements Moving furniture, inventory and supplies General upkeep of our spaces, equipment and inventory And plenty of random "can you fix this, build this, pick this up, put this together or make this look better?" projects!

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The biggest thing: you need to be comfortable working independently and getting things done. We want to be able to provide a project list, explain our priorities and trust you to take it from there. You should be dependable, resourceful, comfortable using basic hand and power tools, able to lift and move furniture, and willing to jump between different kinds of projects. Experience with carpentry, woodworking, furniture repair, painting, staining, upholstery, property maintenance or general handyman work is a huge plus.

THE SCHEDULE

This is a flexible, project-based position with no guaranteed weekly hours. We'll provide a running list of projects and priorities, and you can set your own schedule within our Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM working hours. Some weeks may have more projects than others depending on our inventory, events and current needs.

Pay:
