Job Description
Position Summary The Facilities Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the facility, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational work environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across multiple areas of facility maintenance and can independently troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities Perform general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems , including basic heating, cooling, and ventilation issues. Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance , including fixtures, pipes, drains, and water lines. Troubleshoot basic electrical systems and perform electrical repairs within applicable qualifications and safety requirements. Complete drywall, painting, patching, and general building repairs . Inspect facility systems and identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues. Respond to facility maintenance requests and prioritize repairs based on urgency and operational impact. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all company safety, GMP, and food manufacturing requirements. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and other departments to address facility-related issues. Ideal Candidate Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role . Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems . Experience with drywall, painting, patching, and general repairs . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred . Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
