Job Description The Clyde-Savannah Central School District has an opening for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic. Benefits and Health Insurance available. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for: Performing a variety of skilled duties involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, groundskeeping, etc.
Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining building facilities
Performing routine and preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Performing other position-related duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities

Job Qualifications
Graduation from High School or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three years of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the mechanical or construction trades
Good knowledge of the common practices, tools, terminology and accident precautions of one or more of the mechanical or construction trades
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints and diagnostic reports
Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces or at heights
Ability to communicate politely and professionally with school administrators, teachers, students, and community members
Possession of NYS Driver's license Special Qualification Special consideration will be given to candidates with electrical experience.
