Schedule:
Monday-Friday, with rotating on‑call hours
Location:
Colonie, NY (travel required between four properties)

Valid NYS driver's license About the Role We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This full‑time position supports the upkeep, safety, and overall condition of all four of our properties. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, and comfortable performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. Key Responsibilities Complete daily work orders and maintenance requests across multiple properties. Perform general repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance servicing, and HVAC‑related tasks. Conduct sheetrock repairs and perform all aspects of painting. Perform monthly emergency and exit light inspections and replace faulty fixtures. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and refurbishment progress to the Facilities Manager. Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergencies. Assist during emergency situations such as snow events, water leaks, fire alarms, or system malfunctions. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials and report low stock. Travel between properties is needed using a personal vehicle. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of full‑time maintenance experience. Valid NYS driver's license and reliable personal vehicle. Ability to lift to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and kneeling throughout the workday. Strong communication skills and professional work habits. Commitment to safety and willingness to perform all assigned tasks. Work Environment This position requires flexibility, physical stamina, and the ability to respond to unexpected maintenance needs. You will work closely with the Facilities Manager, Site Managers, and fellow technicians to ensure our buildings remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained.

From $25.00 per hour
