Maintenance Technician Come join us at St. Cabrini Nursing Home! We are a 304-bed, Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility founded in 1974 in continuation of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini's legacy of serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving. We are looking to fill the position of
TEMPORARY
Maintenance Technician. $33.47 per hour. Initial One Month Training hours = 7am to 3pm; Regular hours = 3pm to 11pm. Work will continue through February.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of Nursing Home or Medical Facility experience or (4) four years of maintenance experience otherwise. Must be knowledgeable in boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Must have advanced skill in at least 2 trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC and carpentry, etc.). Must have a valid NY driver's license.
Maintenance Director Job Summary:
Respond to routine maintenance requests. Perform renovations in building, repairs plaster, drywall and painting. Knowledge of fire panel, sprinkler system and location of all fire extinguishers. Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters and charts- registering various aspects of boiler operation to ensure boilers are operating properly. Perform all required Life Safety building inspections. Operate stationary engines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and HVAC equipment to maintain proper operation. Supervise the work of outside contractors while working on equipment. Assist Director in conducting fire drills, fire alarm tests and sprinkler blow down. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis. Train workers in safe work practices and enforce organizational rules.
