Job Description
Facilities Maintenance Technician (Full - Time) Fishers Island Club Fishers Island Club is seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of our private golf, tennis, and beach club facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a variety of Club properties, including the clubhouse, dining and service areas, pro shops, beach facilities, support buildings, and employee housing. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, basic electrical work, and general building maintenance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting maintenance issues, performing repairs, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and responding promptly to maintenance requests to ensure Club facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. Successful candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively as part of a team is essential. A professional and serviceoriented approach when interacting with members, guests, staff, residents, and vendors is expected. Previous experience in a private club, hotel, resort, marina, restaurant, residential property, estate, or commercial facility is preferred. Technical certifications, trade training, or specialized maintenance experience are welcomed but not required. This position may require flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and seasonal operational demands.
