Job Description
As a global leader in radiation safety, detection and measurement, Mirion Technologies is advancing radiation safety through innovative technologies and solutions. We are looking for a General Maintenance Technician to provide overall maintenance support for the production floor and SSD, including developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program and performing equipment and facility repairs that keep manufacturing operations running smoothly. This role covers a variety of electrical, electronic, and mechanical tasks and is a great fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, hands-on, and eager to learn — prior maintenance experience is helpful but not required. We provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates who bring strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a willingness to grow into the role. Essential Duties Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the reliability of equipment and facilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities to support manufacturing operations Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on the production floor Perform equipment installation and relocation assignments as needed Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting and minor repairs Perform mechanical tasks, including vacuum pump maintenance and manufacturing fixtures as applicable Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order records; maintain the equipment maintenance program together with the manufacturing supervisor Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and PPE requirements Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition Essential Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Technical background with a demonstrated ability to handle mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills Basic understanding of hand and power tools Willingness and eagerness to learn new mechanical, electrical, and technical skills Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods Ability to work in a fast-paced production floor environment Able/fit to work at various heights on ladders, manlifts or elevated platforms Additional Requirements Experience in a manufacturing maintenance or equipment repair environment a plus, but not required Basic electrical or welding knowledge a plus Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to become certified) Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed to support production Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required 0-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or equipment repair experience preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
