Job Description

Trailways of New York Is Hiring Trailways of New York, a prominent and prestigious family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Maintenance Facility in Kingston, NY. About Us Trailways of New York provides 24/7 transportation services throughout New York State, with routes extending to Montreal and Toronto. With nearly a century of service, we are committed to safety, reliability, and maintaining high standards across our facilities and operations. Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and general repairs to ensure our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Hours:
7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday Responsibilities Perform routine and preventative maintenance inspections of mechanical, plumbing, and structural systems. Identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Perform minor to moderate repairs, including: Fixing leaks Hanging and replacing lights Replacing receptacles, lamps, and ballasts Minor painting and carpentry Conduct routine, repetitive daily inspections and maintenance of interior and exterior building areas. Perform electrical generator inspections, operation, and minor repairs. Maintain grounds by mowing lawns and edging sidewalks. Perform snow removal during winter months, including shoveling and salting. Operate, maintain, and care for tools and equipment used in building and landscaping maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and report maintenance concerns as needed. Qualifications Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems. Ability to work independently and manage routine tasks. Physical dexterity and ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
