Primary responsibilities include:

Performing general commercial property maintenance tasks relating to one or more fields (plumbing, carpentry and electrical). Perform routine HVAC preventative maintenance (e.g. filter replacement, coil cleaning etc.) Perform minor electrical maintenance such as replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, fluorescent and LED lamps, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) Perform minor plumbing repairs (e.g. replacement or repair of drains, faucets and toilets, unclogging of drains and toilets, replacement water heaters, etc.) Perform minor carpentry and masonry work (e.g. repair doors, repair of drywall and flooring, repair or replace locksets, etc.) Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and maintain physical condition of the building. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

Requirements:

Some local travel to Saratoga, Schenectady and Albany therefore a valid driver's License in good standing is required.

Available to work:

Hours M-F 7:30-4 pm NO scheduled on call; off hours for emergencies as needed. Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal instruction. Great organizational skills to effortlessly schedule workday based on project priorities. Mechanical aptitude and carpentry skills. Must be okay in confined/cramped spaces. Ability to lift minimum 50 pounds, climb a ladder, bend at the waist, sit, kneel, lay horizontally, climb and walk, etc. Need to be able to use ladders and go on flat roofs. High School or equivalent education with 3 yrs experience. Military or Technical training/experience a plus.
