Job Description

Role and Responsibilities Summary:
The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as the technical lead for maintenance activities for equipment operations at the site. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and supporting the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance across production and packaging equipment. The Senior Technician works closely with the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and production teams to ensure equipment uptime, support operational needs, and mentor other technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure work is performed safely.
  • Use appropriate PPE and comply with company policies.
  • Support safe work practices during maintenance and repair activities .
  • Follow lockout/tag out (LOTO) procedures before performing maintenance repair Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for difficult or recurring equipment problems.
  • Support rapid response to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • PLC Troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Servo Motors and servo drive (VFDS)
  • AC/DC Motors, including troubleshooting, Maintenance and repair Preventive Maintenance & Reliability
  • Execute and support preventive maintenance programs.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Technical Leadership & Mentoring
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance to maintenance technicians & machine operators.
  • Train and develop other technicians in troubleshooting, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance.
  • Support consistency in maintenance practices and standards. Production Support
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment readiness and efficient operation.
  • Assist in line changeovers, startups, and troubleshooting during production runs.
  • Communicate effectively with production leadership regarding equipment status.
  • Assist in identifying required spare parts and materials. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Equipment Knowledge & Documentation
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately in maintenance logs, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain awareness of equipment performance trends and recurring issues. General
  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications. Provides mechanical maintenance information when asked related questions and requests.
  • Expected to be on site during emergency situations, including but not limited to snowstorms and other severe weather, to ensure the safety of the building occupants, facility, and the public.
  • Responsible for preparing maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned or requested by senior management. Completes various physical tasks as requested by Manager.
  • Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.

Must be comfortable wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the production floor or in any area where PPE is required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, Electro-Mechanical Technical Training a must. B.S. College degree a plus.
  • Five (5)-eight (8) years minimum experience working with production equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Three (3) + years of related experience with industrial packaging (cartoning and flow wrap), labeling machines. Rotary die cutting machines a plus.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to apply logical thinking to various situations and follow standards, procedures, and instructions. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable:

Pay:
$65,000.00 per year
