Penn Yan, NY Pay:
$28-$36/hour based on experience
Sign-On Bonus:
$3,000 after 30 days
Schedule:
12-hour shifts, days or nights

Penn Yan, NY Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a supportive, team-oriented manufacturing environment in Penn Yan. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial maintenance professional with strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities and experience working with automated production equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience , a stable work history, and hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems . Food manufacturing experience is a plus, but candidates from other industrial environments with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply. Robotics experience is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and packaging machinery Work on mixers, fillers, and other production equipment Troubleshoot photoelectric eyes, sensors, and related control components Work with Allen-Bradley controls and equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics when needed Assist with electrical troubleshooting and repairs Perform welding, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility repairs as required Support maintenance of septic/wastewater systems when needed Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns to the team Follow all safety procedures and company policies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Equipment & Systems Technicians may work with: Conveyor belts and packaging machinery Mixers and fillers Schooley machines Modern ice cream manufacturing equipment Delcy/box packaging equipment Allen-Bradley controls Sensors and photoelectric eyes Automated and robotic equipment Qualifications Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience troubleshooting production, conveyor, or packaging equipment Allen-Bradley experience preferred Robotics experience highly desirable Ability to read electrical schematics preferred Electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus Food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required Experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, or general facility maintenance is a plus Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Reliable work history and demonstrated job stability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Schedule & Training New hires will receive approximately 3 months of training on first shift before transitioning to a night schedule. Most positions involve 12-hour shifts , either days or nights. Schedules may fluctuate based on plant needs. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed .
