Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Boiler Operator/Mechanical Maintenance technician to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency across our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance. Duties Operate steam boilers safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and operational procedures. Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boiler systems and associated mechanical equipment. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control system diagrams related to boilers Conduct mechanical systems repair including welding, pipe fitting, valve replacement, and component adjustments to ensure continuous operation. Diagnose engineering issues using troubleshooting techniques; identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective solutions promptly. Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, repairs, and safety inspections for compliance purposes. Support field service operations by responding to emergency repairs or system failures with professionalism and urgency. Qualifications Proven experience with boiler operation and maintenance is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair, welding, and interpreting technical drawings or schematics. Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using engineering principles and diagnostic tools. Excellent service skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and equipment reliability. Relevant certifications in boiler mechanics or industrial maintenance are preferred but not mandatory. 40 hrs week with Overtime as needed during Heating season
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
