Job Description

College Auxiliary Services (CAS), a nonprofit organization supporting SUNY Plattsburgh, is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to help maintain and support our properties. CAS proudly manages campus dining facilities and the beautiful Valcour Inn & Boathouse located in Peru, NY. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for students, staff and guests. This position works Monday - Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend hours. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Director of Maintenance. Why Work With CAS? Key Duties Include:
Performing general maintenance and repairs on buildings and food service equipment Maintaining heating and water systems, including routine water testing Groundskeeping at Valcour, including landscaping and snow removal Setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for events Assisting the Director of Maintenance with inventory management of tools, equipment, and smallwares Ensuring the overall cleanliness and orderliness of all properties Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently Providing excellent customer service to guests, staff, and vendors Following a work schedule set by the
Director of Maintenance Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 3-5 years of experience in buildings and grounds maintenance Working knowledge of construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and painting Effective communication skills Valid driver's license Ability to work nights and weekends as needed Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
