This role works independently on a broad range of day-to-day repair issues outside of routine preventive maintenance. Location & Schedule On-site, based out of company terminal locations including Newburgh, NY (Hudson Valley); Thornwood and Elmsford, NY (Westchester County); and Stratford, CT. Primary work is performed inside terminal buildings; travel between assigned locations is required. The fleet serviced consists primarily of Ford Transit cargo vans and Ford or Freightliner step-van / parcel delivery trucks. Full-time, five-day work week on a set schedule. Regular days off are Tuesday and Friday. This is a hands-on, on-site maintenance role performed primarily inside terminal facilities. Employees must be comfortable working in hot and cold seasonal temperatures and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair body damage, dents, and panel issues on cargo vans and parcel delivery trucks Troubleshoot and repair lighting, wiring, and other electrical faults Diagnose and resolve Check Engine Light (CEL) codes using OBD/diagnostic scan tools Perform general repair work outside the scope of routine preventive maintenance, coordinating with PM and senior technicians as needed Complete work orders and parts documentation in Samsara fleet management software Qualifications 2+ years of experience as an automotive, fleet, or truck technician Experience with diagnostic scan tools and electrical troubleshooting (digital multimeter) Body and cosmetic repair experience (dent, panel, light housing replacement) preferred Own a professional-grade set of hand tools Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied outdoor conditions Required Screening Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Must obtain and maintain any site-specific security clearance required to work at client facilities (may include government-issued photo ID verification, badging, and secure-area access screening) Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Must be eligible to work in the United States Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and paid holidays 401(k) retirement plan
