Maintenance Handyman Burma Banshees Port Chester, NY Job Details Full-time From $23 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Equipment repair Moving Assembly Residential cleaning Woodworking Full Job Description Job Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Handyman to perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of a residential or commercial building. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, able to troubleshoot problems, and takes pride in keeping the property safe, clean, and well maintained. Duties Perform general building maintenance, including cleaning and handyman repairs. Repair doors, locks, cabinets, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other building fixtures. Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and minor leaks. Perform basic electrical maintenance such as replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and bulbs, where legally permitted. Patch, paint, and repair walls and other surfaces. Perform minor carpentry and drywall repairs. Inspect common areas, mechanical areas, and building equipment for maintenance issues. Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner. Assist with moving, assembling, installing, or replacing building equipment and fixtures. Keep work areas clean and organized and properly dispose of debris. Qualifications Previous experience in building maintenance, handyman work, property maintenance, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repair. Ability to use common hand and power tools safely. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to lift, carry, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and perform physical maintenance work.
