• What You'll Do Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial machinery Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pipe-fitting repairs Complete preventive maintenance on production equipment Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems Work with steam systems, furnaces, boilers, and gas heaters Perform welding, machining, and fabrication as needed Rig and align machinery, including belt and pulley drive systems Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematics Perform LOTO and follow all required safety procedures Work closely with the maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime What We're Looking For 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred Experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery Strong mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience Preventive maintenance experience Ability to read blueprints and schematics Experience with equipment such as rollers, slitters, coilers, furnaces, boilers, or similar heavy machinery Comfortable working around moving equipment, heights, noise, dust, and industrial environments Strong teamwork and communication skills Preferred Experience PLC troubleshooting/exposure Hydraulic repair Machining or fabrication Rigging and machine alignment Broader industrial troubleshooting Forklift certification LOTO training A bit about us:•A well-established heavy industrial manufacturing facility in Rome, NY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.
