AB_5056475 We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing and facility operations team in Ronkonkoma, NY. In this role, you will ensure high machine uptime by setting up, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production machinery, conveyances, electrical controls, and mechanical equipment. You will execute routine preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, respond to emergency equipment breakdowns, and collaborate with engineering and production to ensure a safe, efficient plant floor.

•$70,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM

Associate Responsibilities Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production equipment (e.g., pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, packaging machines, compressors, and automated systems). Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform routine PM tasks, inspections, cleanings, and component replacements per manufacturer guidelines and plant schedules to prevent downtime.

Electrical & Mechanical Overhauls:

Align, adjust, disassemble, and rebuild mechanical assemblies, drive systems, bearings, and shafts. Assist with basic industrial wiring, 3-phase systems, motor controls, and sensor troubleshooting up to 480V.

Welding & Fabrication:

Execute basic metal fabrication, cutting, grinding, and welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) to modify equipment, build custom guards, or repair structural components.

Plumbing & Pneumatics:

Repair and install air, water, and fluid lines; replace valves, solenoids, pressure switches, regulators, and hydraulic cylinders.

CMMS Documentation:

Log all work orders, labor hours, replacement parts, and equipment maintenance histories into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or ERP platform.

Safety & Compliance:

Maintain strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, OSHA safety standards, Arc Flash protection, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
