Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner/Floor Care Specialist to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, sanitation, and custodial duties, to ensure a pristine environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming and hygienic space that reflects our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors using floor buffers, scrubbers, and other equipment to maintain a polished and safe surface. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning across different facility areas. Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order through routine inspection and basic maintenance. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a hazard-free environment. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including residential painting touch-ups or porter duties to support overall building upkeep. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers is highly desirable. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential. Experience with facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks will be advantageous. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Previous porter or maintenance experience is a plus for supporting various operational needs within the facility.
