Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This vital role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide guests with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills, along with a passion for delivering exceptional facilities maintenance. Your energetic approach will help keep our hotel running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an outstanding guest experience. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to address repair needs around the property. Maintain facilities equipment including hand tools, electrical equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff, providing excellent customer service while resolving issues efficiently. Oversee building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry repairs, plumbing system repairs, and HVAC system servicing. Utilize schematics and technical documentation to diagnose complex electrical or mechanical problems accurately. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades when necessary. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with operational standards. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within the hospitality industry or residential settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance. Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment and using tools such as ohmmeters. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams effectively. Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general handyman tasks. Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is a plus for troubleshooting automated systems. Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and customer service interactions. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) procedures relevant to hotel facilities management.
