Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Role Overview A manufacturing facility located near Youngstown, Ohio, is seeking a skilled 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be tasked with repairing, troubleshooting, and replacing industrial production machinery along with facility support equipment. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining a safe and productive workspace while helping to reduce equipment downtime. Core Responsibilities Perform inspections, adjustments, and repairs on various production assets, including shop equipment and overhead cranes. Execute mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance programs to help maximize machine uptime and prevent unexpected failures. Analyze and resolve complex mechanical and electrical system issues by interpreting technical schematics and blueprints. Document and submit thorough maintenance reports to leadership detailing the status of equipment and completed repairs. Maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols. Collaborate with shop floor staff and management to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules. Qualifications At least two years of practical experience repairing industrial manufacturing machinery. High School Diploma or GED is required; additional technical or vocational training is preferred. Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints. Possess a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Show the ability to work effectively from verbal instructions or hand-drawn sketches. Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure accurate documentation. Demonstrate a commitment to safety by applying industrial standards within the manufacturing facility. Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay ranging from $24.00 to $33.00 per hour. Full-time permanent position with access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional Details This position operates on a 1st shift schedule, working four 10-hour days from Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
