Start-up and/or shut down of all building services, laundry processing equipment, as well as, all those found in the mechanical room such as boilers, oil heaters, reclaim systems, compressors, etc. Performs electrical, mechanical, electronic, and plumbing maintenance, overhaul, repair and/or installation of all laundry equipment, buildings, building services, equipment in mechanical rooms and on grounds. Fabricates, modifies, and builds equipment as required. This includes welding, painting, electrical, etc. Maintains stock records on parts inventory, requisitioning shortages to the Director of Engineering & Facilities. Coordinates equipment and maintenance repairs with the production supervisor if down time is necessary during production working hours. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS
two (2) years recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics. Ability to work independently. Ability to operate electrical testing equipment. Ability to organize work. Knowledge of appropriate safety standards and procedures. Must be computer literate. PLC Knowledge operation & troubleshooting. Ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic schematics. Be knowledgeable of photo eyes, proximity sensors, solenoid valves and all other kinds of electrical and pneumatic systems. Be familiar with low voltage control systems. Be familiar with high voltage motors and controls. Be familiar with troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic pumps and valving systems. Be familiar with different welding practices. Be familiar with the operation of fork lifts, and various types of manlifts. Be familiar with the operation of industrial boilers and compressors. Be very familiar with the "Lock out - Tag out" procedures.
