Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. However, we also would like for candidates to apply who are willing to learn and be trained in the garage door industry. Some tech skills would be great, but if willing to learn and if you are handy, we can work with you. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation, repair, and maintenance of garage doors and related components. This role requires a blend of technical skills and customer service aptitude to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality service. Duties Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers. Perform glass installation and ensure proper sealing and functionality. Execute trim carpentry tasks to enhance the aesthetics of garage door installations. Read and interpret schematics to accurately complete installations and repairs. Sometimes conduct small electrical work related to garage door systems, ensuring safety and compliance. Carry out frame carpentry tasks for structural integrity during installations. Hang doors with precision, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed. Requirements Proven experience in garage door installation and repair or a related field. Strong understanding of glass installation techniques. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Valid driver's license is required. Willingness to work 40 hours sometimes more as needed. No weekend work.
