The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the apartment community looks its very best at all times and operates smoothly by performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: electrical, light carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of all properties in the portfolio, including general maintenance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, finish work, and grounds. Inspect vacant units and prepare for new residents. Provide exceptional service to current, future, and past residents at all times. Provide care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment. Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the properties or residents. Maintain the required uniform and ensure a professional appearance and attitude at all times. Stay informed of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times. Maintain thorough knowledge of management company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education or equivalent is required; bachelor's degree is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction and to work independently and in a team environment. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to regularly participate in on-call rotation, and occasionally work weekends, overtime hours or some time on a holiday. Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and criminal background check. Extensive experience with HVAC repair and maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair required. HVAC certification preferred.
