This position predominantly focuses on the electrical components of industrial equipment, their controls, and safety systems. Tech's will work at the company shop and travel to work on customer job sites. Support and build positive relationships with customers Duties and Responsibilities 1. Trace and correct mechanical and/or electrical malfunctions of industrial equipment. 2. Elementary wiring and PLC logic troubleshooting. 3. Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints and other technical documents. 4. Electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs on fabrication machinery and machine tools. 5. Assembly and installation of electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment and systems. 6. Ordering and picking up parts for jobs. 7. Provide high quality services to customers, such as installation, preventative maintenance and operation of equipment. 8. Log all services, pertinent job notes, and report progress to management. 9. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds to waist height, and up to 90 pounds up to 9 inches off the ground. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and moving motor vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, in some instances this job may require work in areas where ear and/or eye protection is necessary. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)- Safely utilize hand and power tools
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
- Able to work cross-functionally with different teams or departments.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Able to drive a large service van
- Must be over 18
