Position:
Maintenance Technician Shift & Schedule Full-time, day shift (Monday-Friday) Hours vary based on production needs Overtime required; occasional weekend hours as needed Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing evaluation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems Support the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program to achieve 100% on-time compliance Complete assigned maintenance procedures on chemical tanks, piping systems, air compressors, and other electrical and mechanical equipment Troubleshoot and repair equipment involving mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues Communicate and collaborate with production operators to assist with equipment repairs and troubleshooting Maintain the maintenance area, ensuring tools, parts, and supplies are properly stocked and organized Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment Attend required meetings and training sessions Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely work at heights and around chemicals Perform additional duties as assigned Required Competencies, Skills & Experience Working knowledge of electrical wiring and building electrical systems is preferred Plumbing experience, including CPVC and PVC piping, preferred Basic carpentry skills for facility repairs Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively Flexibility to work varying hours, overtime, and short-notice assignments Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is considered Experience with plumbing, pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and electrical systems is a plus Experience in troubleshooting HVAC systems and controls is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams Proficiency across multiple technical disciplines and problem-solving techniques Work Environment & Physical Demands Work in a manufacturing and industrial environment Stand, walk, climb, bend, and reach throughout the shift Lift, carry, and move materials and tools as required Safely work around chemicals, equipment, and elevated areas while using PPE Equal Opportunity Employer MPC Plating is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
