A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
We are looking for the right person to join our maintenance and facilities team who will take great pride in taking care of our 550,000 square feet facility. The successful candidate will have the following skills: Mechanically inclined, general maintenance knowledge, landscaping/grounds-keeping.
Huge plus but not necessary:
Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC skills The maintenance specialist/technician is responsible for general building maintenance duties in the school, church, college, and property grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform general cleaning and maintenance of buildings or properties and equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping and snow removal. Have a working knowledge of electrical and plumbing repair. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work. Run, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or trucks. Must be able to lift 50lbs comfortably by yourself, anything heavier-group/assisted lift
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS
: High school degree or equivalent. Three years of experience in professional building maintenance. Successful candidates will be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a courteous and Christ-like attitude; and agree to adhere to the standards of moral conduct and mission, vision, and values of both Harvest Preparatory School and World Harvest Church.
