Job Description
Pool Installation Technician McCaskey Landscape & Design Chardon, OH Full-Time | $18-$25/hour, based on experience McCaskey Landscape & Design is looking for a dependable, motivated Pool Installation Technician to join our Pool Division. This is a hands-on, year-round opportunity working alongside an experienced crew to install and complete high-quality residential pools. We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants the opportunity to learn and grow with an established company. You do not need to know everything on day one—we are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Assist with fiberglass pool installation and jobsite preparation Support excavation, grading, plumbing, backfilling, and finish work Install and connect basic pool equipment and components Perform basic pool service and maintenance Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites Work closely with the crew leader and other team members Provide professional, respectful service around customers and their properties Learn and follow McCaskey's installation, quality, and safety standards During the winter season, assist with snow and ice operations, including plowing, shoveling, and salting What We're Looking For Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record required Basic knowledge of swimming pools and pool systems preferred Pool service or maintenance experience is a plus Basic electrical knowledge is helpful Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work Previous pool, construction, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, or similar hands-on experience is helpful but not required Above all, we're looking for someone who is coachable, hardworking, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career. Schedule & Year-Round Work Full-time, year-round position Monday-Friday with seasonal Saturdays and overtime during the busy season During the winter months, employees transition to snow and ice operations Winter schedule is approximately 36 hours per week, including plowing and other snow-removal responsibilities Work is performed in person at job sites throughout the area
