Job Description
This would be a first shift position, Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm. We're looking for a dependable Maintenance Welding Technician to support equipment repairs, fabrication projects, and maintenance operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work while maintaining safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability across shop and field operations. MIG, TIG, AC/DC
stick welders, plasma cutters, and oxyacetylene equipment safely and effectively. Weld aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials to meet operational and quality standards. Assist with the design and fabrication of tooling, fixtures, and new equipment components. Inspect damaged equipment and determine the safest and most effective repair methods. Select proper materials and welding techniques based on repair specifications and operating conditions. Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing work to support fabrication and repair activities. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe operating condition. Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and OSHA regulations. Support maintenance operations by responding to equipment repair needs in both shop and field environments. Travel to customer sites or field locations as needed to complete repairs and maintenance support. Work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, or holidays as operational demands require. Assist less experienced employees with troubleshooting, equipment operation, and welding techniques. Complete additional maintenance and fabrication duties as assigned by leadership. What You'll Need High school diploma or GED required; vocational or industrial trade specialization preferred. Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in an industrial, maintenance, or equipment repair environment preferred. Technical school training or equivalent hands-on welding experience strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and fabrication specifications. Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum using MIG and TIG processes preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds regularly with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in physically demanding environments for extended 8-12 hour shifts. Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and around industrial equipment, heat, sparks, fumes, noise, and moving machinery. Ability to wear required PPE including respirators, welding shields, gloves, hearing protection, and protective clothing. Ability to travel to field locations for short-term or extended assignments as business needs require.
