  • 3:00 PM (OT available) Position Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our 1st Shift Maintenance Team .
This role is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure consistent and reliable operation of all manufacturing and facility systems. If you have strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation and dismantling machinery to replace defective parts. Inspect and measure components to determine changes in requirements. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies; place orders as needed. Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and analyzing data. Maintain and operate plant compressed air systems, hot water boilers, water chillers, and HVAC systems. Perform daily rounds and preventative maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation. Repair, rebuild, or replace components such as gearboxes, mill stands, shafts, seals, bearings, brake assemblies, hydraulics, air cylinders, lines, fittings, elevators, timing belts, and safety windows. Assist water treatment plant operator and perform project work as required. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with all safety procedures and regulations. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or equivalent technical training. High school diploma/GED preferred. Above-average mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Experience in water treatment is a plus but not required. Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision. Requirements Must furnish own set of standard hand tools. Ability to obtain a material handling vehicle license. Ability to read and write proficiently and follow oral/written instructions. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and walking. Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment with exposure to noise, dirt, and fumes (within OSHA limits). Must follow lockout/tagout procedures and comply with SENCO safety policies. Ability to work off-shifts and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice. Must be able to walk throughout SENCO's manufacturing campus (up to 530,000 sq. ft.) and stand for the entire shift. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay with opportunities for advancement.
