Job Description Current Team Need:
The current maintenance team is strong from an electrical troubleshooting perspective. The biggest need for this role is a technician with strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience, particularly supporting older production equipment and hydraulic press systems.
This individual will serve as a key resource for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining approximately 40 production presses and other aging manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, manifolds, pressure systems, bearings, gearboxes, motors, drive systems, and other mechanical components in a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Requirements Must-have qualifications:
- 7+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
- Experience supporting production equipment such as:o Hydraulic presseso Conveyorso Automated manufacturing equipmento Pneumatic systems
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience performing root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures
- Strong understanding of bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, cylinders, valves, and power transmission systems
- Experience working independently during off-shift operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment to maximize uptime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, with a strong focus on hydraulic presses and aging equipment.
- Quickly diagnose production line issues and restore equipment to operation.
- Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Complete maintenance documentation and track repairs in the CMMS system.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate repairs with vendors when needed.
- Communicate equipment status, risks, and repair timelines with production and leadership teams.
