Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This vital role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs across various systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and the ability to interpret schematics. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports our operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and prevent potential issues. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using appropriate tools and techniques. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to diagnose problems accurately. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to troubleshoot automation systems and electrical circuits. Execute welding tasks and other fabrication work as required to repair or modify equipment. Support manufacturing processes by maintaining machinery, conveyors, and production lines for optimal performance. Assist with residential painting projects within the facility or designated areas to enhance appearance and safety standards. Supervise or collaborate with team members during maintenance activities, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed for reporting purposes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement in facilities maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations. Mechanical skills including troubleshooting mechanical systems, and understanding schematics Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document issues and collaborate with team members. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to coordinate maintenance tasks efficiently. Ability to perform residential painting tasks when needed for facility upgrades or aesthetic improvements. Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, welding, mechanical repairs, and general facilities maintenance.
