Job Description
Maintenance Technician VennPoint Communities is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations and help deliver an exceptional resident experience across one of our luxury communities. This position is designed for a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for completing daily maintenance needs, maintaining apartment homes and common areas, supporting unit readiness, and helping ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained, and resident-ready. This role reports to a Multi-Site Maintenance Supervisor and works collaboratively with Community Leadership, onsite team members, vendors, and supporting maintenance resources to ensure timely completion of work orders, unit readiness, preventative maintenance, and community presentation.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with a one-hour lunch) Additional flexibility may be required based on business needs, emergencies, seasonal projects, and participation in an on-call rotation. What's in it for Me?Competitive Pay:

What You'll Do Maintenance Operations Complete service requests efficiently while delivering exceptional resident service Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, drywall, carpentry, and general building systems Perform preventative maintenance and proactively identify maintenance concerns Complete high-quality apartment turns including repairs, painting, punch work, and final inspections Respond to emergency maintenance requests and participate in on-call responsibilities Perform routine inspections of apartments, buildings, amenities, and common areas Communicate maintenance concerns and repair needs to Community Leadership and the Maintenance Supervisor Follow established procedures for documenting completed work and updating work orders Teamwork & Accountability Work collaboratively with Community Leadership and maintenance team members to prioritize daily maintenance needs Communicate effectively with residents, team members, vendors, and contractors Assist with coordinating vendor access and completing work associated with vendor projects as needed Maintain accurate inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials Help control maintenance expenses through efficient use of materials, equipment, and resources Take ownership of assigned work and follow through to completion Communicate project updates, operational concerns, and preventative recommendations proactively Community Excellence Maintain community curb appeal and ensure common areas remain clean, safe, and tour-ready Support seasonal operations including snow removal, landscaping coordination, and pool readiness Conduct routine inspections and address concerns before they become larger issues Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop, work areas, and equipment Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements What You'll Need to Succeed We are looking for a maintenance professional who combines strong technical skills with accountability, dependability, and excellent customer service.Preferred qualifications include:
2+ years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience Experience with: HVAC systems, Plumbing systems, Electrical troubleshooting, Appliance repair, Carpentry and general building maintenance Ability to prioritize multiple projects independently with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors preferred EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred (or ability to obtain) Familiarity with maintenance management software and mobile work order systems preferred Positive attitude with a team-oriented and solutions-focused mindset Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 80 pounds Push and pull loaded appliance equipment up to 200 pounds Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and work at varying heights Ability to work indoors and outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions Additional Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Valid driver's license required Reliable transportation required Ability to participate in rotating on-call schedules Flexibility to support business and operational needs Professional Standards VennPoint Communities is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards across all communities.
