Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience , preferably in a food manufacturing or cGMP-regulated environment , with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLCs, production machinery, and preventive maintenance is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective actions. Use blueprints, mechanical drawings, repair manuals, parts catalogs, and technical documentation to troubleshoot equipment. Create, manage, and complete maintenance work orders using
L2L/CMMS
systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment. Inspect and maintain motors, drives, belts, bearings, fluid levels, filters, and other equipment components. Perform scheduled maintenance and equipment servicing during planned machine shutdowns. Troubleshoot basic electrical systems, including three-phase motors and electrical components . Install and set up production equipment, machinery, piping, and production lines. Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems . Rebuild and repair gearboxes, mechanical drives, and related equipment . Troubleshoot and repair filling, packaging, and other production-line equipment . Safely operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical/electronic testing equipment. Assist with the setup and teardown of machinery and equipment at the beginning and end of production shifts. Communicate maintenance issues and equipment status to Plant Management so production schedules can be adjusted as necessary. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure equipment is operating safely and product quality is maintained following maintenance activities. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving initiatives to identify and eliminate recurring equipment issues. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend changes that improve equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and quality. Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles . Participate in the facility's Safety Committee and actively promote a safe working environment. Identify and address safety-related issues and recommend appropriate controls. Follow all required safety procedures, including: Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP) . Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Food manufacturing, food processing, or cGMP-regulated experience preferred . Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills. Experience maintaining both mechanical and electrical systems . Basic knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting .. Basic welding skills. Experience with industrial production and/or food-processing machinery. Preferred Qualifications Experience in food & beverage, CPG, or food-processing manufacturing . Experience working in a GMP/cGMP environment .
Pay:
$25.93 - $31.23 per hour
