Job Description

Maintenance Techinician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenenace to keep the plant equipment ( packaging machinery, extruder, conveyers, etc... ) and building infrastructure in good repair and operating reliably. Duties may involve eletrical and mechanical repairs and prevetive maintenenace, welding, machining, carpentry, plumbing, equipment installation, building system maintenenace, and other tasks as required.
Responsibilties :
inspects, operates or tests machinery or equipment to diisgnose machine malfuntions. Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to acess and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools. Performs routine maintenenace such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, repplacing filters or doing other preventive maintenance actions. Diagnoses mechanical problems and elecrical problems and determines corrective actions, checking blueprints, repair manuels, or parts catalogs as necessary. Maintains and repairs specialized equipment and machinry located in warehouse and food production areas. Assembles, installs, amd repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Adjusts functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and staright edges. The incumbent has the authority to take immediate corective actions when dealing with Food Safety and Food quaity issues and is required to report these issues to the department manager and sagety food manger for further action, if required. Skill requirements : High School Dilpolma or equivalent required. 2-4 years of apprenticeship. Maintenenace experience in food manufacturing environment preferred Must be able to lift 40 lbs unassisted. Must be able to be forklift certified. Knowledge and experience in areas such as FDA, GMP, SQF, and HACCP a plus. Nust have knowledge of machines and tools, inckuding their designs, uses, and repair, and maintenance. #CMP1
Pay:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
