Job Description
General Maintenance Technician A General Facilities Technician is expected to be capable of performing the following tasks, in addition to other tasks that the Supervising Manager may deem necessary and for which the individual is trained to perform: Assist the maintenance department with basic duties under the direction of a maintenance supervisor: Clean-up, painting, sweeping, washing, and general housekeeping duties; 5-S activity as directed and in accordance with defined 5-S processes; Inventory tracking and management (e.g. locating, relocating, restocking, tracking, and labeling parts, material and equipment); Operating a VAC truck or related equipment in accordance with a defined scope of work, and for which the technician has been given proper training; Basic maintenance activities not requiring code compliance, where the technician has been given specific work instructions, and has successfully completed the required training.
