Job Description
Millwright - Chemical Manufacturer We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial environments, specifically within chemical manufacturing, and possess strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills to install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities Install, assemble, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment used in chemical manufacturing processes. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals related to machinery and equipment. Align, level, and calibrate machinery to ensure proper operation and safety compliance. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate repairs and minimize impact on production schedules. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience as a Millwright, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial machinery and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and alignment equipment. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in chemical manufacturing facilities. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good physical stamina and ability to work in various environmental conditions. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in millwright or related field preferred. Apprenticeship or formal training in millwright work is highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years of experience in millwright maintenance, preferably within chemical manufacturing.
