Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous operation and safety of our plant equipment and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in industrial maintenance and a solid understanding of schematics and control systems. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical components. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment. Maintain scheduling repairs and tracking maintenance activities. Conduct welding operations, as needed for repairs or modifications. Use a scissor lift or other aerial equipment safely for access to elevated areas during maintenance tasks. Assist with field service activities related to industrial electrician work, low voltage systems, and customer service support when required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards. Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate repairs. Requirements Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial mechanics, hydraulics, HVAC/R, welding, and electrical systems including high voltage applications. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, schematics, analysis skills, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Ability to work with low voltage systems and perform troubleshooting using diagnostic tools. Experience working with industrial electricians or field service technicians is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely; certifications are a plus. Industrial electrician experience is considered an asset. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring attention to detail and safety compliance. Pay:

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
