Duramax Marine LLC, a 100% Employee-Owned manufacturing company located in Hiram, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Duramax Marine is a long-time, dedicated member of the marine industry. Our products are engineered to increase vessel performance to meet the demands of an ever-changing industry. The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of machinery and production processes within our manufacturing facility, as well as overseeing general facility upkeep. The position has responsibilities within preventative and reactive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, installation and upgrades to equipment, and facility maintenance with a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans. Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Diagnose and fix electrical issues, including control systems, wiring, and circuit boards. Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment. Perform upgrades and modifications to existing equipment to enhance performance and efficiency. Manage facility upkeep including moving furniture, setting up workspaces, and rearranging layouts as needed. Perform painting and touch-up work to maintain a clean and professional environment. Oversee snow removal and ice management during winter months to ensure safe access and operation. Address general facility maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, plumbing issues, and HVAC maintenance. Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory and company standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent. Report any significant issues or potential improvements to management. Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to coordinate tasks and address issues. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure a clear understanding of maintenance needs and priorities. Performs other duties and participates in Company initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or completion of a certified Industrial Maintenance program preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in the use of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
