A Building and General Maintenance Technician performs building maintenance and appliance repairs for an apartment complex, housing division, residential center or business, as directed by a property manager.
Up to $42 (DOE) Position Overview We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a busy food manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on production and facility equipment. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production equipment. Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize downtime. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot sensors, relays, contactors, motor controls, and VFDs. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Complete work orders and preventative maintenance documentation using a CMMS. Maintain a safe working environment while following GMP, LOTO, and food safety procedures. Qualifications Previous industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing or food production environment. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems . Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred). Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated production equipment. Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
