Job Description

Courtyard by Marriott-Maumee is seeking a dependable and service‑oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of the hotel. The Maintenance Technician ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and all property systems are well maintained to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for every guest. This position reports directly to the General Manager and works closely with the management team to support hotel operations.
The ideal candidate will:
Love the look and quality presentation of all hotel facilities, be detail oriented, preferably with facility maintenance experience. Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have FUN in a team environment. Performs skilled repair and maintenance operations using power tools, hand tools, etc. Responds quickly to guest requests/complaints in a friendly manner. Relays appropriate requests or complaints to appropriate subordinate or manager. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day. Reports lost and found articles and needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor. Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Respond to maintenance work orders by guests, employees, and supervisors Maintain, repair, and overhaul equipment and property. Paint walls, ceilings, fixtures and equipment to prevent corrosion Hang wall fixtures, replace light bulbs and filters Make local deliveries and pick-ups, if needed Walk the property—interior and exterior at the start and end of shift to identify maintenance needs Maintain parking lot and grounds area according to established quality standards and safety Maintain all sidewalks and keep them clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice Conduct preventative maintenance according to preventative maintenance log schedule Work with General Manager to set up and complete special and on-going projects and maintain the preventative maintenance program Responsible for following key control policies, practices, and procedures Keep current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property Compliance with OSHA standards to provide a safe work environment

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Some maintenance experience preferred Hotel experience is a plus, but not required
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
