POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Branch Executive, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the safety, security, and general operation of the facility. This position required hands on maintenance duties and the ability to work with project teams, trouble shoot mechanical problems, and work independently to effect repairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Organizes and prioritizes work lists. Problem solves issues with machinery, systems and tools. Work with machinery, systems and tools safely and efficiently (OSHA compliance). Ability to work independently from a project list. Report issues/problems to branch executive Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary. Organizes and puts away needed equipment and tools. Reports damaged equipment. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in carpentry, electrical, maintenance, grounds keeping or a related field Knowledge of plumbing, motors, pumps, electrical and mechanical required. At least 21 years of age. A clean driving record. Must pass a background check.
