Ziegler tire is looking for Retread Maintenance Technician in the Monroe, Ohio market to help keep our production operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair equipment throughout our tire retreading plant. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining production efficiency, and ensuring a safe working environment. What You'll Do Equipment Repair & Troubleshooting Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment including buffing machines, press brakes, curing equipment, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and transformers Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize production downtime. Safety & Facility Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all applicable OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and PPE requirements . Assist with general facility and infrastructure maintenance as needed. Documentation Accurately complete maintenance work orders, inspection reports, and equipment maintenance logs. Document repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed. What We're Looking For Electrical knowledge Welding knowledge Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical information. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and respond effectively to equipment issues. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods. Frequently lift, carry, or maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds Work around industrial machinery, electrical equipment, hydraulic systems, compressed air, and other manufacturing equipment.
