Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in our injection molding and plastic recycling facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production machinery, recycling systems, auxiliary equipment, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and be committed to maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding machines, recycling equipment, conveyors, grinders, shredders, granulators, dryers, blenders, chillers, and material handling systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and recycling equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system failures. Repair and replace motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, bearings, sensors, and control components. Assist with mold changes and troubleshoot molding process-related equipment issues. Maintain auxiliary systems including cooling towers, compressed air systems, vacuum loaders, and water systems. Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed. Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Follow all company safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read technical drawings and equipment schematics. Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
